Fiberglass Grating Project Information:
The city of Redlands was building a new waste water treatment plant and the required a covered deck surface for the one area, including the structural support beams and hatch covers. Our I8x3/8” I-Beams were used as cross supports attached to the concrete using L4x3/8” fiberglass angle and ½” anchors. The decking was our 2-1/8” fiberglass plank. The hatches were 2” deep, 2” square mesh molded fiberglass grating with a 1/8” cover plate bonded to the surface. This is a common application for fiberglass grating and structural shapes.
