GRIDWALK® COVERED GRATING & SOLID PLATE

GRIDWALK® FRP Solid Plate is bonded to grating of the same resin system as grating for a no hole application.  GRIDWALK® FRP Solid Plates come in 1/8", 3/16", 1/4",3/8", and 1/2" thickness. Thicker plates can be special ordered. Plates can be as the plate itself or joined with grating. Surface may be a smooth, mirror finish, diamond finish or with grit for non-skid application. GRIDWALK® is made of corrosion resistant polyester resin and fiberglass mat, woven roving and veil. The resin is impregnated into fiber glass to form a resin rich (60%) yet strong solid plate. The main reason for these materials is their excellent resistance to corrosion.

GRIDWALK® MINI-MESH GRATING
GRIDWALK® Mini-Mesh fiberglass reinforced plastic access flooring system is intended as a low cost alternative to stainless steel, steel, aluminum and other materials in applications where corrosion resistant under floor passage and unimpeded air flow is essential. Lightweight Mini-Mesh panels are readily removable, supplying easy access to electrical conduits, service lines, and air supply plenums. The Mini-Mesh panels are the top choice in minimizing vibrations from traffic such as rolling carts, and wheelchairs. This ADA compliant mesh size also helps to prevent small tools and other objects from dropping through the grating to the ground beneath it. The 15 mm ball test requirement, common in Europe and in offshore applications, is met by Mini-Mesh panels.

Mini-Mesh panels are available in three surface styles - smooth, concave, and gritted. Built-in safety features such as corrosion resistance and fire retardance add to their suitability in a diversity of applications.

Mini-Mesh grating provides a cost effective, corrosion resistant alternative to stainless steel, steel and aluminum products. Mini-Mesh has been tested in accordance with Ceilings & Interior Systems Construction Association test procedures for load deflection and meets or exceeds the requirements for access flooring.  



CONDUCTIVE MOLDED GRATING

 GRIDWALK® Conductive Molded Grating provides a specially formulated, carbon, black surface, which will eliminate hazardous static electricity when properly grounded. This anti-static property is most advantageous in high-tech electronic industries where sophisticated equipment may be damaged due to static electricity. It also provides a safe environment in combustible areas by not allowing static sparks. The surface electric resistance of GRIDWALK® Conductive Molded Grating is 1 x 105W to 5 x 105W . GRIDWALK® Conductive Molded Grating is available in a variety of resin systems and panel sizes. It retains all its inherent qualities such as corrosion resistance, fire resistance, impact resistance, non-slip and lightweight. FOOD GRADE MOLDED AND PULTRUDED GRATING

Letter of Certification and Guarantee for Food Processing Applications:

GRIDWALK® Food Grade FRP grating is manufactured by using a premium food grade polyester resin which contains no harmful ingredients and is certified by the resin manufacturer. Furthermore, each panel is post cured and detergent washed prior to shipping.

American Grating certifies that its Food Grade Molded and Pultruded Fiberglass Grating Products are acceptable for use in all food and beverage processing facilities, when properly installed and maintained as an ergonomic or anti-slip worker walking floor surface or covering, and will meet USDA acceptance requirements for floor surfaces.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the past, tested all materials and products that were in any way deemed a possibility for "incidental food contact' for food processing facilities, and issued Letters of Acceptance for tested and approved products.

According to Appendixes A & B of the National Register, dated September of 1995, the USDA has limited its scope for the testing of construction materials that were in obvious contradiction to the original ruling and no longer issues Letters of Acceptance. Floor and wall materials should not come in contact at any time with food or the manufacturing process of food products and therefore need not be tested for intended food contact. GRIDWALK® Molded and Pultruded products are designed to be installed only as worker ergonomic or anti-slip floor grating. American Grating, Inc. has issued this letter as a statement of Guarantee of Suitability of Material for Purpose Intended in Food Processing Facilities.

GRIDWALK® STAIRTREADS

GRIDWALK® Stair Treads are made of grating panels with non-slip nosing and come in three widths: 9", 10 1/2", and 12". Standard treads come in 30" and 36" long. Customers can order 12' long treads and trim at job sites for easy installation.

GRIDWALK® stair treads meet OSHA safety standards and are closed on all sides, with gritted surfaces and a solid black color nosing. Standard stair treads are 1.5" thick, made of industrial grade polyester resin.  Available in Ortho, Vinyl Ester Type resin.

GRIDWALK® HANDRAIL SYSTEM

Responding to the demand for a guardrail system that is easy-to-install, maintenance-free and OSHA approved, American grating has applied its experience to the development of a safe, reliable guardrail system. In addition to satisfying basic requirements, the GRIDWALK® Guardrail System offers unique mechanical properties for applications where corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity are of special concern.

Used for raising Grating off the floor. Available in fixed or adjustable legs, from 2 inches to 4 feet.

Ideally, GRIDWALK® panels should be supported on all sides and attached to the supporting framework with either Type "M" or "L" Hold-down clips. A minimum of 4 clips per side are required for full size panels. Where panels cannot be supported on all sides, use "C" End Panel clips to unite the two adjacent panels. Clips are sold as sets consisting of clip bolt, nut, and washers, all manufactured from 316 stainless steel.

We utilized a unique technique to produce this round (oval possible) molded fiberglass plastics grating. No more fingers, no more banding, all in one piece from the mold. Traditionally, to make grating a round shape, it had to be cut from a larger square panel, and use an adhesive or mechanically attach a band. Since there are no cut-off's and no secondary bonding, this is a true corrosion resistant round grating panel. Lightweight for easy maneuvering, GRIDWALK® Circular Molded Grating is ideal for a manhole cover, drain cover and other applications. A solid plate can be added to the grating for non-drain usages. Thicknesses are available in 1" (25 mm) and 1-1/2" (38 mm). Resin systems are available in fire resistant polyester, fire resistant vinyl ester, fire resistant ortho, and food grade polyester.
