Fiberglass Grating Project Information:
This project in Washington State was part of a beautification project. They cleaned an old landfill and created a park like atmosphere complete with walking trails and lookout points. They were looking for an environmentally friendly decking surface for their boardwalks that would have a long lifespan in the typical weather environment of the Pacific Northwest. The fiberglass grating needed to be durable enough for the expected traffic, meet ADA (American’s with Disabilities Act) compliance and be esthetically pleasing. American Grating’s 1-1/2” deep, 40% open pultruded fiberglass grating was chosen with a light grey finish. The end result is a very attracting, comfortable decking.
